To My Grandparents….

We all have people who are responsible for being a huge influence on the person we are today and the person we strive to become. I think so often many of us forget this fact in our crazy day-to-day lives and don’t take the time to really acknowledge it and let those people know that they are amazing and how thankful we are to have them in our lives. I know I have many, many people who inspire me and are responsible for helping me become the person I am today. To each of you, thank you and I love you!

I wanted to specifically talk about my Grandparents in this blog post. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of my Grandparents. From riding the tractor and cutting firewood with Grandpa, to sitting at the pool and going to the movies with Grandma, Disney trips with both of them, and so much more. I love them both to pieces.

I loved going to their house as a child and just hanging out. We took many, many vacations that are filled with wonderful memories. Riding Space Mountain, the Tower of Terror, and going to see my favorite…The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular! I loved going and walking the beach with them hunting for seashells. Swim races in the pool and fun dinners. But what strikes me most about all of this is that it was always quality time. Talking and spending time with each other, they always made sure that time spent together was more than just being in the same room.

They taught me to work hard, be kind and do things to the best of my ability. They are just amazing people all around and I can’t express in words how important they are to me and all the things they have taught me. Grandma and Grandpa, I love you both so much and thank you for everything you do for me and Steven! I certainly hope you know how important you are to me.

Here are a few pictures from the past few years….

These were taken at their surprise 50th Party. They are still so happy! the one with us looking crazy is Grandpa causing trouble and we are “yelling” at him. See? Told you he was trouble. I hope that Steven and I are as happy as they are at 50 years!

And here are a few random pics. The pets LOVE when they come visit because they get more treats when they are here. And that pink hat…sorry Grandpa, I had to put it up. I love that picture. It captures how much of a troublemaker he is!

These are some of my favorite pictures. Snake is one of the most important things in my life and he gets me through tough times. I love that they think he is amazing as I do!

This was a visit to Chapman’s Mill.

grandma & grandpa - Hey!Just saw your amazing website! We just loved it and appreciate all! Our memories of all our time together
are also wonderful. So many goodtimes.

Let’s hope that there will be many more!

We love you all and will see you soon.

Sue - These are great pictures, I remember when I met your Grandpa at your wedding and he introduced himself as the “handsome” one in the family! haha And then the rest of the day he would say “This is Steven’s Mom, she said I was the most handsome man here!” I would just laugh and say “Yeah that’s right!” He is a mess and your Grandma just smiles and takes it all in stride.
